Just 15 minutes from the airport but tucked neatly out of the way (so ticking that away-from-it-all box), Lujo is really quite something.
When you arrive, you’re greeted by white-sand beaches lapped by clear waters. Often, such scenes would be the showstopper of a luxury hotel. Not so at Lujo – this large, all-inclusive hotel has much more up its sleeve than a fabulous beach. It’s fizzing with every facility you can imagine, from a six-slide waterpark and adults-only beach club to the most ginormous kids club. Your nights involve selecting between eight restaurants, deciding which lands your personal top spot – will it be the seafood or steakhouse? Or perhaps the Italian. Decisions, decisions.
Why we love Lujo Hotel Bodrum
-
If you can bag yourself a pair of loungers at the waters’ edge, you’ll feel a million miles from home, but the resort’s plentiful bars and eight restaurants are a mere walk (or buggy ride) away, or you can find livelier scenes at the Opa! Beach Club.
-
Although Lujo is all-inclusive, it falls firmly at the premium end, with many of the à la carte restaurants included (although some have a cover charge) and certain champagnes and fine wines are chargeable.
-
Joy is the name of the game here. You can WhatsApp requests to your own ‘Joy Advisor’, whether that’s to make a restaurant reservation, organise a taxi, or ask questions about opening times or when the next yoga class is.
-
There is so much to do here, not only with the type of thing you usually find in top beach resorts but a swathe of unexpected extras like a waterpark and laser tag arena. Throw in a Lego robotics room for the kids and facilities just for teens (so often forgotten), and you have family holidays tied up with a nice shiny bow at Lujo.
Rooms
Don’t let the dazzling choice of rooms bamboozle you—you really can’t go wrong. While they vary in size and orientation, they’re all equally plush, with exposed stone walls and premium finishes. Of course, a swim-up option is perfection if you and your family want your own private bubble. If you’re looking to party, there are rooms within the beach club designed just for adults. 416 rooms.
Facilities
Wow, what a line-up of bars and restaurants await. And remember – this is an all-inclusive hotel too, so most of what you pick from the menu is all taken care of. They’re all in strategically locations throughout the hotel so you’ll have a fabulous view as you dine.
Asma

Whisk away to Sensum Spa and book a Turkish hammam ritual complete with mitt exfoliation and aromatic rose essence foam massage on a heated stone bed. It’s by no means your only choice. There’s a wide choice of treatments spanning targeted facials, ayurvedic massages, holistic massages, Thai massages, and chiropractic therapies, too.
There’s an incredible selection of ways to get your heart pumping here. Cycling classes, HIIT workouts, circuit training and Brazilian butt classes (targeting the glutes) are all on the agenda, although there’s a big gym and PT sessions if you’d rather go solo. There’s also hammock yoga suspended from the ceiling (alongside standard yoga for the less adventurous), mat Pilates and reformer Pilates. Some lengths of the indoor pool might prove pretty tempting, too.
There are watersports galore, including the things you heard of (jet skis and water skis) to things you may not have done (flyboards, seabobs, and E-foils). And if the high-octane water sports aren’t up your street, then perhaps a gentle paddle on a SUP or a canoe might be the thing for you.
The kids’ facilities are out of this world, making Lujo a firm favourite for family holidays. Rather unusually, it stays open until 2 am. There’s a playroom for under 3s (babysitting is available for a charge for over 24 months), but the real fun begins at the kids club for ages 3 to 18. For the younger ones, there's a sprawling 4500m2 space to explore, with dedicated rooms for music, art, and science. They can participate in workshops for dance, ceramics, painting, and more – and that’s not even counting the various sports options.
Teenagers will find plenty to enjoy at Lujo Hotel, from PlayStation tournaments to the hotel’s very own laser tag arena. And if they're into water sports, there’s a wide range of options available at the beach, too.
