Food is an integral part of our safari experience from hearty breakfasts, indulgent afternoon teas and evening dishes of traditional cuisine…
Ten years after opening Garonga Safari Camp, I built Little Garonga in 2007 to create an intimate safari lodge for families or friends travelling together.
Little Garonga has just three thatched air-conditioned suites all with Wi-Fi. The Hambleden Suite is the largest, with two bedrooms and a lounge area leading out onto the deck where there is a swimming pool. The bathtub is made of hand-beaten copper and is a central feature of the spacious bathroom. The Chiltern and Buckingham Suites each have one bedroom and all suites have both indoor and outdoor showers. The suites are positioned to maximise the views of the bush and I’ve kept the style to blend in with the natural landscape outside but retaining luxurious features inside including a mini bar and a cosy fireplace.
Food is an integral part of our safari experience from hearty breakfasts, indulgent afternoon teas and evening dishes of traditional and international cuisine created by our team of chefs led by Reineth and Venecia.
As well as our game drives we offer guided bush walks or guests may prefer to relax on their deck in the hammock looking out for wildlife that often comes through the camp.
Your journey will start with one of our UK team – someone like Laura, who's travelled extensively in South Africa. They’ll shape your ideas into the trip of a lifetime. But they won't do it alone. They'll draw on the expertise of our contacts on the ground, connecting you to the people who'll make your holiday one you'll always remember - ex banker who can show you the hottest foodie spots in Cape Town, the award-winning young sommelier who can introduce you to Stellenbosch's finest wines and the walking safari ranger who can guide you to the best game.
