Nayara Tented Camp

A pitch perfect venture into the wilds of Costa Rica

This glamorous safari-style camp combines nature-immersed adventure with sophisticated creature comforts.

Soak up Arenal Volcano views, shower under the stars and dip into your private hot springs pool from a luxury tent peering over the rainforest. Slow down with yoga in the company of hummingbirds, work up an appetite hiking over lava fields and go sloth-spotting among Cecropia trees. End the night swinging on a hammock before sleeping snug under canvas hugged by the sky.

Nayara Tented Camp is passionate about reforestation and is always busy planting new and native trees to reduce greenhouse emissions and give wildlife a safe refuge. As their newly planted trees begin to grow, endangered habitats are rebuilt and animals including sloths and monkeys thrive. The Camp’s tents are built on stilts to minimise environmental impact and each plunge pool is fed by natural springs. At Ayla restaurant, preference is given to organic and locally sourced produce and the whole resort is aiming for a zero mile approach to dining. Lighting is energy-efficient, water faucets have been installed, plastic straws have been eliminated and rooms are stocked with reusable glass bottles.
