A relaxing family retreat with an authentic vibe on a private beach in Ocho Rios
The epitome of relaxation, Jamaica’s Inn is where you come to switch off. Giving you a more intimate alternative to some of Jamaica’s larger resorts and with warm service provided 24/7, the luxury hotel embodies that ‘home away from home’ feeling. Rooms
There are 52 rooms made up of both suites and cottages. The former, are perfect for a more intimate stay whilst the latter with their one to two bedrooms, offer extra space and privacy. Some rooms also have mobility access. Brimming with traditional charm, each room has been decorated in a similar style with breezy white linens, rich mahogany woods and luxe four-poster beds. As for a view, the ocean panoramas from each room are equally as impressive. If you’re visiting as a family, the Two-bedroom Cottage with its private plunge pool and direct sea access, will go down a treat with children (over the age of 10). Meanwhile, couples have plenty of choice with spacious One Bedroom Cottages – also with private pools – along with romantic suites complete with beach-facing balconies.
The main feature is the private furnished outdoor spaces giving front row seats to the stunning ocean or mountain views.

Facilities
Foodies won’t be disappointed by the culinary offering at Jamaica Inn, with two restaurants serving up an extensive selection of both authentic Jamaican and international fare. Sea Shanty is the place to be for breakfast and lunch, set directly over the Caribbean Sea, so close you can feed the fish! Although, if you’d rather start your day with breakfast in bed on your oversized verandah or on a floating tray in your private plunge pool, that’s an option too. The Terrace restaurant, where dinner is served, is an al-fresco affair with live music every night and features an ever-changing five-course menu. Teddy’s Beach Grill also covers lunch and occasional dinners. A more laid-back option, you can dine on the sand with local dishes straight from the grill or pizzas perfected in the wood-fire oven. If you can take yourself away from the beach or the pool, complimentary high-tea is also served daily on the terrace.

The culinary hotspot at all times of the day. Start the day off right with an island breakfast and Jamaican staple dishes for lunch.

Informal dining directly on the beach enjoy some authentic Caribbean classics straight from the grill.

Using locally sourced ingredients, indulge in a treatment at the Ocean Spa. Learn about the therapeutic qualities of the local plants and herbs and make your own tropical body scrub. Soak up the healing properties and sea views with a dip in the saltwater sea bath. Every Thursday and Sunday you can stretch out with a morning yoga session or book a private lesson in meditation.
There are some wonderful experiences here. Learn the secrets of Jamaica’s rum industry with a Rumology lesson, take a tour of the botanical gardens, learn how to play croquet or head down to the beach for a weekly movie screening of a Bond movie – however you choose to take it, don’t forget your martini.
There’s a swimming pool and paddleboarding, kayaking and snorkelling are available from the hotel’s private beach. Diving, sailing and windsurfing can be arranged nearby.
Jamaica Inn has held its Green Globe Certification since 2012 and is aiming to be carbon neutral by 2026. Renewable energy, LED bulbs and eco-friendly chemicals are used throughout and rainwater is harvested for watering the gardens. Jamaica Inn has also established a turtle conservation programme and is supporting a coral restoration project.
