Petite by name and petite by nature, this hidden gem is tucked away on the lesser-visited north coast.
Petite by name, petit by nature; this hidden gem is tucked away on Grenada’s lesser-visited north coast. It is rustically Caribbean and simple in style and design, yet it has a real home-from-home atmosphere. This is thanks to the friendly welcome and attentive service from everyone from the owners to the gardeners, housekeepers and chefs, many of whom live in local villages. Petite Anse’s slightly elevated position results in some unforgettable views of the sea, the winding coastline and a cluster of nearby islands to the north.
Why we love Petite Anse
-
The warm home-away-from-home atmosphere the British owners have created.
-
You can book a boat over to uninhabited Sandy Cove for swimming, snorkelling and a private barbecue.
-
Combine Petite Anse with a beachfront south-coast resort for the best of both worlds.
-
Just a 25-minute drive to Levera National Park’s lagoon, coral reefs and beautiful beach.
Rooms
The hotel’s simplicity and rustic nature extends to the 13 rooms, most of which is housed in standalone cottages dotted in the tropical gardens, some close to the small sandy cove and others with a more elevated position and wonderful sea views. Two Honeymoon Suites, also known as Grendadine Rooms, are situated in the main building and feature large, covered verandas that overlook the beach.
Facilities
The hotel's restaurant offers Caribbean, Asian and European cuisine with fresh produce from the garden and the sea. The views extend across the beach to the Grenadine Islands. The Sunday lunch barbecue buffet is famous across the whole island.

Petite Anse offers massages, from deep tissue to relaxation treatments.
This is the perfect place to while away a few days and experience a different side to the Spice Island; we recommend hiking nearby pathways and embracing a back-to-basics experience before heading to an upmarket south-coast resort for some sun-kissed relaxation.
Pick up a map from reception to hike the many nearby trails. Every Sunday there is a guided walk to Duquesne Bay, ending at a local bar for refreshment and back in time for the hotel's famous Sunday barbecue lunch.
The resort has a swimming pool. You can also take the 30-minute boat trip across to uninhabited Sandy Island for swimming and snorkelling. If you are visiting Grenada between March and June there is a chance to go leatherback turtle watching.
Petite Anse has a number of environmental policies including the use of solar energy, recycling and using produce from local suppliers and the organic garden. The owners of Petite Anse are passionate about wildlife and have partnered with Ocean Spirits turtle conservation programme.
