Get out and explore the island from this relaxing beach resort, which offers an excellent all-inclusive package and plenty of watersports.
This laid-back, welcoming resort makes a perfect base for exploring Barbados’ West Coast, with a great all-inclusive package and easy access to Holetown’s shops, restaurants and bars. Sip a cool rum punch under shady palms by the lagoon-style pool, feel the ocean breeze in your hair as you kayak along the coast or stroll down the beach in search of secluded coves. Join a catamaran tour for the chance to see hawksbill and leatherback turtles, and look out for other wildlife such as monkeys, mongooses and egrets that come to roost at night. There’s also regular live entertainment, a weekly barbecue and a generous choice of watersports on the beach, so you can be as active or relaxed as you like during a stay here.
Why we love Mango Bay
-
Waterskiing, hobie cat sailing, kayaking, snorkelling and other watersports are complimentary, and scuba lessons are offered in the pool. Guests also get a complimentary catamaran cruise thrown in.
-
There are bars and restaurants on the doorstep and it’s in the heart of historic Holetown – the first town in Barbados to have been established by the British, offering several attractions to explore; don’t miss the Folkestone Marine Park and St James Parish Church.
-
There’s a fun weekly barbecue and regular live entertainment, from limbo dancing to steel pan bands, live pianists to jazz.
Rooms
Mango Bay’s 76 rooms and suites are simple and contemporary in design, with a neutral palette and wooden furnishings and floors. They all come with a private balcony or terrace overlooking the gardens or glittering sea, with Oceanfront Rooms tucked away from the bustle of Holetown’s streets, and Standard One Bedrooms offering extra space for families. The Penthouse Suite, which comes with its own private plunge pool on the terrace and offers sweeping views over the Caribbean.
Facilities
Dining here centres around Julian’s, a beachfront restaurant and bar offering buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and Caribbean-inspired set menus with indoor and outdoor seating; think freshly caught seafood, speciality steaks and local sweet treats served with an ocean backdrop. Unlimited drinks and cocktails are on offer at the bar – try the signature Mango Bay Burning Flame, an indulgently sweet concoction of coconut cream, white rum and pineapple juice – and don’t miss the weekly barbecue night. There’s also regular entertainment, from live pianists and jazz to limbo dancing and steel pan bands.
